Sassoregale. Pure Tuscan character.
A unique place where the forces of nature and biodiversity remain untouched, a treasure trove of gastronomic delights where Tuscan wines reveal the scents of Mediterranean bushes.
Maremma, a land of untouched nature.
In the province of Grossetto, at the eastern edge of a wide plain crossed by the River Ombrone, lies the last Italian wilderness. Maremma is the authentic, enchanting and untamed gem of Tuscany and home to Tenuta Sassoregale.
Here nature roams free, including wild boars, red and fallow deer. Here vines grow in sunlight glinting off the Tyrrhenian Sea, and the salty breezes cool the heat of the summer sun. Here, in the heart of the virgin forests of Maremma, is the birthplace of some of Tenuta Sassoregale’s most distinctive wines. Wines such as Vermentino, the Mediterranean white wine par excellence, or Sangiovese, bursting with the flavours of forest berries and juicy tannins.
The estate is entirely organically managed to ensure that both the vines and surrounding Tuscan landscape are treated with the utmost respect.
